My inspiration came from recognizing a gap in the way companies interact with their communities. I saw an opportunity to create meaningful change by building partnerships that not only serve business interests but also truly benefit the community. The right partners share our core values of integrity, sustainability and community benefit. We seek organizations and individuals who are not only leaders in their fields, but also demonstrate a true commitment to social impact. A rigorous review process and alignment of goals is critical.
Can you describe a project that particularly challenged you?
One of our most challenging projects was to revitalize a neglected urban area while preserving its cultural heritage. The project required navigating complex regulations, balancing various stakeholder interests, and integrating modern sustainability practices without losing historical value. It was a tough but ultimately rewarding endeavor.
How has your leadership approach evolved over the years?
My leadership approach has evolved from a directive to a more collaborative approach. I learned the importance of actively listening and giving team members the opportunity to advance their ideas and solutions. This change has not only enriched our projects, but also helped to promote a more dynamic and innovative organizational culture.

Technology is a critical factor in our engagement strategies. We use it to collect and analyze data that helps make informed decisions and measure impact. What was your greatest achievement at North Star Alliances?
Building a self-sustaining community center that provides education, healthcare and employment services in a previously underserved area has been extremely satisfying. Seeing the community thrive and become self-sufficient is a strong validation of our work and approach.
How do you see the future of corporate social responsibility?
I believe that CSR will become even more integrated into companies’ core strategies and go beyond traditional philanthropy. It’s about creating measurable impact and forming strategic partnerships that benefit both companies and society. I also see a greater push towards transparency and accountability in CSR initiatives.
