Giving podcasts an edge in a saturated market

In an ecosystem where over 500,000 podcasts were created in the first half of 2021 alone, a YouTuber faces a real challenge when it comes to finding an audience, monetizing a show, and managing all the distribution logistics. Auddy solves everything.

It is a one-stop podcast company that hosts, publishes, markets and distributes the best original podcast content from award-winning and high-quality sources worldwide. The shows span various genres and are available on all major platforms (Google, Apple, Amazon, Spotify, Deezer, Stitcher, Soundcloud, etc.).

What type of company do you work with?

Auddy works with a variety of companies, from commercial partners looking to advertise and promote their brand to podcast listeners to those looking to produce a podcast. We also work with podcasters who want to commercialize their previously produced podcasts and increase their listener and engagement numbers. In short, we work with everyone involved, from the concept phase to hosting, production and promotion.

What problem does Auddy solve?

Similar to YouTube, podcasting is now a huge ecosystem, worth over $7 billion by 2027 and therefore leads to potential for commercial revenue through ad sales and sponsorship sales. As a publisher, Auddy leverages data analytics and advanced skills in hosting, marketing and promotion for its published podcasts, thereby helping the creator achieve a commercial outcome for the podcast.

What is your USP?

We are unique in that we manage everything under one Auddy roof — from concept to delivery produced, published, Markets And distributed The best in original podcast content and audio shows, all from a single source. We also own proprietary systems, data analysis tools and technologies to bring efficiency and business intelligence to the publishing business.

What are Auddy’s values? Have you ever been challenged and if so, how did you deal with it?

To date, our values have never been questioned — that doesn’t mean we won’t, but as a company we believe in integrity, reputation, diversity, inclusivity and being socially and morally smart.

We like to work with people who have the same values, so that our values are reflected in our work and in the industry in which we work.

How do you ensure you recruit a team that reflects your company values?

When recruiting all new hires, we work with a team psychologist. She specializes in working with candidates through a testing process that allows us to better understand the candidate’s personality and dynamics and ensure they — and we — are a good fit. Our psychologist also works closely on the dynamics within the leadership team, ensuring the team’s understanding skills are accelerated to improve effective communication. Our tests also include checking the candidate’s tolerance or need for home work.

After the Corona crisis, would you like to offer a hybrid working model consisting of home and office work?

We believe remote work is a crucial part of our future development. Although we are convinced that a close-knit team is necessary for personal exchange, everyday office life can be stressful and lead to health challenges, especially psychological ones. We therefore plan to continue to support and promote flexible working hours, home working and team building through personal commitment.

Do you have any tips for effective supplier and customer management?

We firmly believe that you must treat others the way you would like to be treated, whoever you are and whatever your position. Respect is an important factor, so it is important to respect those around you and treat others with kindness in all areas of life.

Any financial or cash flow tips for new businesses starting up?

We believe it is important to be transparent, fair and sensible when managing and storing cash. If you are slow to pay a bill, approach the seller, express your point of view, and treat them with respect, gratitude, and fairness.

What is your attitude towards your competitors?

Without competition, you and your business will remain unchallenged, which could leave you bored or complacent. Competition makes you more competitive. In our world, where hundreds of millions of people around the world listen to podcasts, there is plenty of room for all competitors to thrive and succeed without one having to win at the expense of others.

Do you have thoughts about the future of your company?

Tomorrow is much more exciting than yesterday.

We are in an exciting phase where we managed to reach our target number within days of launching our crowdfunding campaign. We’ve been blown away by the interest and engagement and we’re really excited to discuss our plans for the future. The future is exciting, the future is scary, but when you see the level of interest from crowdfunders looking to invest, the thrill of getting started and wanting to achieve greatness is what drives the team.
